An offer to help…

I found out about Michael via my friend Melissa. She was taking his camp in her neighborhood with a few ladies. She looked so good that I asked her what are you doing and she sent me the info. It was almost like it was meant to be – He was holding an early morning boot-camp literally around the corner from my house.

I had not worked out in years but it just felt like it was time to get back on the train. I tend to always feel yucky about myself after going to any amusement park.  Scott and I went to Disneyland for our 10th wedding anniversary – April 2008 – and every time I go to one of those places, I am reminded just how out of shape general America is.  Those places generally do not make it  easy to find healthy food options – although Disney is getting better over all . I see people eating horribly and people who quite frankly should know better.  I always feel mean when I think things like that, but someone that is morbidly obese should not be eating a funnel cake with fries and I have a hard time understanding that action. It just doesn’t add up to me.

So, I came back from my trip just feeling horrible about myself. I saw the pictures and just realized, I am not looking or feeling the best I can be. I was always tired and my lower back hurt a lot. I was just uncomfortable in my own skin – does that make sense?

So I signed up for a trial class.I can completely understand why people quit after the first few days of working out. I was in major pain and in a way it made me feel worse about myself. Here I was in my 30’s, the prime of my life, and couldn’t run half a mile without feeling like I was going to die.

But I stayed with it and looking back on that now, I find it empowering and down right amazing at how far I have come. Everything about me has changed for the better! I want to help others get there too, because as I have said – I am no different than anyone else. Sometimes you need a friend or a hand to hold to start.

For me, Plumbline Training made the difference. Michael has helped me realize the person that was inside of me. It wasn’t just him. We are partners in this journey. I found a program that I love because it works, it’s fun and I have accountability. All elements that help me continue on.  Plumbline Training boot camps are also available in the evening if you have been wanting to try it out.  I am happy to come along with you if you do want to try one. Sometimes going to something new, alone is the barrier between you and finding something that will change your life.

Plumbline Training is located in Leesburg near the airport and there are camps at 9a, and late afternoon and early evening. (430, 530, 7p). So if early mornings are not your thing, there are other options!

Let me know if you want to take me up on this offer. You may just find that you love it as much as I do!!
Happy New You Year!
