Following your Passion

I think it’s fair to say that I am currently en route to finding my own passion through living a healthy and fit life.  I know so many people are searching to find that something that really captures their attention and can fulfill them and it’s unfortunate that it seems so elusive. Many times finding what fulfills you happens without your knowledge – you just wake up one day and realize what you are currently experiencing or doing  feels like it was made for you – it’s not work, it’s fun and you do it because you WANT to, not because you HAVE to. Wouldn’t it be nice to always feel that way?

Following your passion isn’t always easy.  First and foremost you have to have the  support of your family, friends, and network.  You need those people to keep you going because there are bound to be ups and downs on the journey. And sometimes following your passion means making concessions and sacrifices in other areas of your life, whether that be financial, personal, or professional. It takes time, patience and of course perseverance x 1000.  Whenever I hear of someone that has decided to face the unknown and pursue their passion,  I always stop and acknowledge it because it takes a ton of courage and tenacity to just  go for it.

The world is a better place because of people like them.

A dear friend of mine, Jon Hauer,  and one of the few attendees of my wedding in Las Vegas way back in the day, has written a book. Scotty has read it and loved it. Jon is an amazing, creative, talented and funny man whose also an amazing friend and generally all around great person.  Can you tell he’s a dear friend of mine??  I am not biased at all…

Jon is choosing to follow his passion. He is such a smart guy, went to law school, got a great job at a great law firm in Arizona and decided it wasn’t for him and instead chose writing. You may have read his poems at http://www.mcgarragal.com/.  He also is a really good artist. Could he seriously be any more creative !???!!

So I am proudly showcasing my friend Jon Hauer’s book – The Inside Passage – below and asking everyone in my circle, that if this book seems of interest to you, please order and spread the word!
