» The Power of Yes: A Simple Way to Get More Out of Life.

Since I’ve learned the power of yes, I’ve begun to act as if I’m not afraid. Whenever I feel fear creep upon me, I act as if I’m somebody else. I act as if I’m somebody stronger and braver.

Such an interesting idea. Saying yes to everything that comes your way and being open to the experiences and opportunities it will open up for you. I am thinking I am going to try this and to some extent I have already integrated this in my life. I often think about all the things I wish I had known when I was younger. I would have had a much richer experience if I had just said yes instead of letting fear make the decisions. I would have traveled more – would have had more fun – would have met more people. Fear is so powerful and insidious if you let it in and take control.  We should all read this post and realize saying yes opens more doors to possibilities.

An inconvenient challenge: Eat ‘real food’ for a month – CNN.com.

The task set by a food blogger seemed deceptively simple: Eat real food for a month.

This is not simple from my experience. It is hard work to eat clean/real food in this world. Also it’s hard when you are having to juggle working, family — life really. Convenience is the norm in our lives and having to eat real food requires prep – prep takes time – time is not in abundance in my life.  So for me, I do the best I can and try to always choose the healthier foods but I’m not perfect with my eating clean. I think it’s not an easy ask and it’s something that in theory to me sounds great  – in practice, right now, is not realistic for my lifestyle.
