Is it Sunday?

I took time out yesterday to reflect on what happened 10 years ago — to appreciate all the freedoms we have and the enormity of what happened to all of our lives. Its so hard to believe it was 10 years ago — I feel for those kids who lost their parents that day. Having to grow up in a world without them has got to be tough. I bet they make their parents proud. We also did a family prayer before dinner to remember. I think its important for the kids to understand as much as they can what happened.

I headed to CrossFit Impavidus for a short training session yesterday — we did some running drills to practice pose running. We used a band and tried to run with the band resistance. Let me tell you about tough! You quickly learn that you have to lean into it and let go of the control of the situation.

We also worked on KB snatches and muscle ups. I am starting to improve in doing muscle ups, which makes me happy. Pull ups are still eluding me — but I won’t give up no matter what!

After that, I was wiped out. Between that training and Saturday’s special WOD — my body needed a nap.  I love napping, so I took one.

And when I woke up this morning, I seriously thought it was Sunday. That’s not a good sign — it’s not Sunday.
