Koyaanisqatsi- Life out of Balance

For some reason, Sunday nights I can’t sleep. My mind won’t shut off and i toss and turn. As you can imagine that makes for a rough wake up. But as you also can imagine, I get up anyway.  I’m tired!

I spent the better part of yesterday going through everything, and i mean, EVERYTHING, in my closet and room. I am not going to lie – I love to shop for clothes and there are times when I feel a bit out of control and need to scale back.  I think the point where I can’t walk in my closet because the floor is full is a good indicator! So, because the season is starting to change, I decided to really go through things. Do I really need 80 black shirts? Do I really need 10 pair of black shoes? The answer – it depends.

I definitely feel a sense of calm now that things are paired down and organized. I wonder how long it will last. It’s hard because I don’t have a ton of extra time in my life, so there are times when I just look around and things are so out of balance that I need to stop, take notice and fix!  I am sure I am not alone — There is a word for it: Koyaanisqatsi- Life out of Balance

Today’s workout was tough because it was all about endurance.  Box jumps, burpees, wall balls — all of these type of exercises just kill me. I can’t breathe and have to stop and catch my breath, often. It’s frustrating…
