CrossFit Does Change Lives

I feel so much better today than yesterday. I know I am not alone that taking rest days is hard — I miss my CF workouts. It’s not only physical for me — it’s mental and social. I actually have fun when I get there. No matter how tired, stressed I am.  Everyone should have something to look forward to regularly — something that is solid as a rock dependable to make you happy. A Passion! It is possible —

One thing that has re-energized me lately is seeing the CrossFit athletes who have just finished the Whole Life Challenge we held this fall.  I have had a hand in changing some lives and what a great feeling that is. If you would have asked me 5 years ago that I would be a part of something that seriously changes people for the better related to health and fitness — I would have said YOU ARE NUTS! But yet, here I am loving it and it’s leading to so many wonderful opportunities. The people I have met, the things I have learned, the support I have received – there are times when I have to stop and ask is this really my life?  Ok, enough with the schmultz for now.

If I could just figure out a way to make a living at this— hmmmm.

Today’s workout was strength with a bit of intensity thrown in at the end.

Warmupx2
10 OHS
10 Push Ups
10 Ring Rows
25 Double Unders (I have to work on this, I have to work on this, I have to work on this!)

Skill
Clean Squats

WOD

Squat Clean
Work up to your 2 rep max in 30 mins (90#)

then…

Tabata Sit-Ups (125 reps)

I have definitely progressed with my cleans thanks to Coach Nate’s mini clinic a few weeks ago but now it’s about working on it. Practice Makes Better!
