Day After Thanksgiving: Working It Out

To CrossFit or To Not CrossFit? What a Stupid Question
Exercise is always the answer --that and bacon

Yesterday was a great day. Wegmans really does make a great Thanksgiving meal easy. i ordered their dinner package and with their instructions on the overall timing, it all came out perfect. My mom came from NJ and my friend Lani came over. It was low key, lots of laughing and eating. Yesterday was not a day for me to be all Paleo this and Paleo that — it was a day to be thankful for all I have and to eat the food on the table — pie and all. I do have to say that I purposely avoided gluten yesterday – made g-free corn bread and pumpkin pie -and that was a good choice.  I did wake up this AM congested from the dairy but not totally dragging.

I felt tired but still got up for my 6A workout. Say What?!! It’s true. I just figured it’s what i normally do on Fridays and I know I ate way more than I should have and to feel better, I need to  work whatever I can out.  I have not been very tight with my overall eating and mentally its been getting to me.  Not to mention waistline it’s getting to me. I’m not sure what’s going on in my head that I can’t seem to re-energize myself and get back on track. I know how great I feel and the great things it does to me physically. When things aren’t in balance in other areas of my life, it throws a bunch of other stuff out of whack.  I have to figure out how to set it all back on the right paths towards progress — and as I am working it through, I am struggling a bit.  That’s part of life I guess — I know i am focused and will not regress but in order to move forward, I need to sort it out. It will just take some time…

Afterall, life is so good for me – my family is healthy, my kids are good, caring people, I have all the basics I could need and then some –and I have a group of amazing, wonderful people in my life that inspire, push and accept me! Not much I can complain about!!

Today’s workout was tough because of the PISTOLS! Those little devils are hard…
