Warmup:
Calistentics – backwards lunges, high knees, tuck jumps, leg lifts
50 pushups
3 series of different types of situps – back situp twists, knee rollups, 83s
Camp: Total reps 3 rounds
65lb split jerks
65lb front squats/lunges
jump rope/double unders
ring jumps
burpees/placement situps
Extra:
All of the above as fast as you can doing 20 reps (rings were 40 reps)
I have noticed that I need some extra pushing lately from Thrash. If it’s painful, I tend to stop and rest way too much than I should. I don’t know if its because I am fearful that my asthma will kick in or that I just stop at any intense pain point. I have had this discussion with a lot of friends. I didn’t grow up doing team sports at all. In fact, I didn’t grow up doing any sports at all to be honest. I think that athletes tend to have that win at any cost or keep plugging away for the team. You don’t let them team down attitude. I do not have that ingrained in me. When I am in pain, I stop. When I am fatigued, guess what?? I stop. I need the help of a trainer to get on me like white on rice…

Ok, I am foregoing the gym today because it is sooooo nice out. I needed to get new tires on my truck and picked today to have them put on. So, I put my road bike on the back of my truck and drove to Goodyear on Waxpool by the skate rink. Then, rode my bike back to Brambleton (which is pretty much all uphill and a nice wind was in my face). Then, when the truck is ready, I will ride the bike back to pickup my truck. If I have time, I’m also going to go for a jog – prob about 3 miles.
Same thing you did! MT paired me up with Steph which is definitely a huge motivator!! That 4th round kills me. Steph does “real” dips on the rings which is amazing!
