Cancer sucks

As you know by now March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

Scotty was under 40 when he was diagnosed, not of the age to be at high risk for colon cancer, but yet here we are. Cancer Fighters!

Make sure to get screened if you are at high risk or have any unusual symptoms like:

* Rectal bleeding or blood in or on the stool
* Change in bowel habits or stools that are narrower than usual
* Stomach discomfort (bloating, fullness or cramps)
* Diarrhea, constipation or feeling that the bowel does not empty completely
* Weight loss for no apparent reason
* Constant fatigue
* Vomiting

Of cancers affecting both men and women, colorectal cancer (cancer of the colon and rectum) is the second leading cancer killer in the United States. In 2005,* 141,405 people were diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and 53,005 people died from it. Go get screened if you are at high risk for it. 80% of all diagnosis can be treated if caught early!

Here is a great foundation that just announced a really cool content with Zac Efron:

I’m Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation (i[2]y), is the nation’s leading grassroots advocate for the next generation of cancer survivors and their caregivers in their late teens, 20s and 30s. http://zacgivesback.com/

And an unique ad for Cervical Cancer Screening that I noticed last night during the Oscars:
