I am not going to lie, springing forward makes it that much harder to get up at 5a. I was dragging today and just made it to camp on time, but I made it which is all that matters. And I am glad I did! Today was a great start to a new session of Plumbline boot camp. We actually went outside which was so needed – I was really getting sick of being inside all winter long.
We started with the warm-up, which was a 400m run. I run every weekend on the treadmill, but getting outside, letting the air hit your lungs – it felt good and horrible at the same time. My asthma kicked in pretty good and when I got back inside, my lungs were hurting so bad. The more I run, the less it will hurt though – so that helps me get through it.
General stretching
Core work: 2 rounds:
scissor lifts
83s
bicycles (moving your torso up and then just slightly towards the ground)
25 bottom up push-ups
Workout 3 rounds 1/min rounds
double box jumps
backwards rows/push-ups using the barbell
push press 25lbs/kick-outs
200m run
65lb back squats

When you said, “but I made it which is all that matters.” I was reminded of my treadmill run yesterday. My goal was 60 mins. The first 30 were great but then I started to get tired. By 50 mins I decided to quit. I walked for 2 mins and felt good so I decided to run for the last 8 mins. I feel so much better that I didn’t just give up. I made it which is all that matters.
Little late, but WOD – Strange but True.
Warm up – some crazy deck of cards thing that last too long, lol. We did tabatas, pushups, jumping jacks, burpees, bear crawls and situps – prob about 20 dif exercises.
Bench press…goal was to do 5 at your max within 6 sets.

I finished in 14:30 – and the power cleans were tough, I didn’t think I could make it, but sucked it up and didn’t worry about my time as much.
