I had to force myself to not listen to that little sleep voice this morning that says: stay in bed. It was tough but I prevailed and got my butt up and headed to Plumbline Training. The 5 minute stations are not my favorite camp session. There is a lot of resting when you are going at it for 5 minutes. Try doing seated twists with a sandbag that weighs 45lbs and feels like a big bag of cement for 5 straight minutes. Michael is always saying Don’t pace yourself…but with that much weight, for 5 minutes — just seems like you almost can’t help but pace yourself. This may be related to my non competitiveness. I just not used to having the mindset to push through when I feel like I have hit a wall. I am working on pushing myself further, but I guess I have a lot more work to do.
I don’t think I am alone in the thinking about these 5 minute stations either. Seems whenever they are in the rotation, on those days, less people show up to camp. I don’t think it’s just a coincidence…
