I have to take a minute today and remember my dog Scully. It was one year ago today that we had to put our beloved lady down because of cancer. We think about her a lot still. Nate still talks about her. I saw a black dog yesterday in a car and teared up. It reminded me so much of her. She was a great dog that really added so much to our lives – so much fun, love and grief to our lives.
Last year someone told me that they believe that animals are in your life for a purpose. Scully had cancer and died right before we completed chemo treatment for Scotty. Some might say that Scully took on Scotty’s illness so that he would be ok. I like the meaning in that and find that comforting.
Thanks again Scully for everything. We miss you.

i didn’t know this about your doggy. being a dog lover and owner, i welled up reading it. she will always be with you though and memories are forever. i have a great book which is a collection of short stories about dogs which touches yoru heart if you want to borrow it..
