HIIT Workout


There are some mornings during my workout I think — What the heck am I doing out here at o’dark thirty, freezing my ass off running with a 45lb sandbag over my shoulders? Does it really have to be this hard to stay in shape? Probably not –but it wouldn’t be nearly as fun. See how crazy I am??

I would say one of the most challenging exercises this morning was the box crossover. You hold a 25lb KB in your hands and you side step onto the box over to the other side and then reverse, always keeping one foot on the box. So you are using your leg to get up on that box — and it takes more effort if you are petite like I am  — our legs just have to work more to get up and over that box! Try this one at home holding a large can or something else, making sure you dont lean the weight against your chest  and you will see how soon after you start, you become winded.
