I took a rest day today, although I didn’t really want to. I have been in all day meetings and the sheer fact that I am sitting in a chair for hours on end, makes exercising all that more attractive to me!

I think it’s so important to keep learning. So many of us get caught up in the daily running of our lives that we forget to feed our minds, let alone get regular activity to care for our bodies! So, lately – I have been making a concerted effort to get out there and meet some people specifically in my career field of social media marketing. I think it’s time to start learning from others about the trends and what’s next in my area of interest more than what I can read or research on my own.  I have been lucky enough to meet a few really smart ladies as well — who have been acting as my mentors to help me map out a direction and plan for where I want to be in the next few years. I haven’t felt this excited and empowered by my career in a very long time and I love it.  It kept me up for hours the night before last, thinking of the possibilities!
