Showing Me The Key
I had such a great weekend full of learning and meeting new people — if you haven’t taken time to go to a class or learn something new recently, go do it. Exercising your mind can do wonders for your spirit. Tony Blauer and his team of PDR coaches were great to work with and really seemed to understand some of the hang ups people can have when learning some strategies to protect themselves against an ambush or attack.
This is a picture of one of the coaches Aca (or Aka). He just seemed to get what my hangups were and pulled me aside and said just the right thing to me — and it was something that I shared the next day with the group. It isn’t about getting it right or how it should look. Hit the target and be ok with it. It doesn’t have to look pretty or there is no ‘right’ way to do it. Just Do It. If there was one thing that really got through to me this weekend – it was that. So thanks to Aca for showing me the key.
I’m going to be sharing some thoughts about my weekend at the Combat Camp very soon. I learned a lot and from a women’s perspective, saw some themes that really sparked some ideas for me to talk about.
Today’s workout was a bit tough in that my triceps hurt from some of the ‘fighting’ we did this weekend — so push ups and max pull up efforts weren’t my finest showing but the point is — I got it done!
