Life has been busy this week — weather causing school closings, too much work to be done and now I am off to film a Public Service commercial with Scott and the kiddos as part of the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation. It’s not like we are starring in it or anything but we are going to be a part of it to help raise awareness of this horrible cancer and as a way to do our part for colon cancer awareness month in March. Don’t forget we are also going to be running the Scope it Out 5K too. Consider joining our team or donating to Hoagie’s Heroes.
It’s kind of bitter sweet today because Scott was notified that one of his fellow Cure By Design models passed away from breast cancer yesterday. We didn’t know them personally but did share this event and celebration together and of course were part of the cancer club. It’s just so hard to wrap your mind around — June 2012 she was here, and Jan 2013 she passed on. Life is so short, so we really have to make sure we are living our best lives each and every day. Her name was Gail Messier and in the photo gallery linked above, she is the one holding the paddle. I am once again reminded how blessed and thankful I am that my husband caught his cancer before it was too late.
I took a rest day — yesterday was a tough WORKOUT:
20min
15 box jumps
10 push ups
5 knees to elbows
I ended up doing 10 rounds + 7 box jumps. After the deadlifts earlier in the week, I was smoked and slept in today.
