Do You Need to Repot Your Career?

Go Be ItI have discovered that whenever I read or experience something that reminds me of Scotty being sick – it tends to have a lasting effect on my mood. To prepare for the movie this evening, I read The Fault in Our Stars. I know it’s a teeny bopper movie but HB and I are going to see it tonight. Remember, I also love Twilight and Hunger Games – I’m still a teenager in my reading choices I guess. Anyway — I sobbed after finishing the book and it has left me in a melancholy mood for a few days now. I can’t seem to shake it off. It’s another example of the actual cancer being gone from our lives, but it’s never really gone from our lives.

For Some Caregivers, The Trauma Lingers

On another note – have you ever thought about switching up your career? Doing a career reboot?

Is It Time to “Repot” Your Career? How changing your trajectory can lead to greater innovation, success, and meaning in your work.

“The idea is that a career reboot not only helps prevent managers from staying in one position too long, being lulled into complacency or leadership fatigue, but that it also pushes leaders to keep learning, to see new challenges with a fresh perspective and ultimately find meaningful work that leaves a lasting legacy.”

I have been thinking a lot about finding meaningful work that offers something to the world but I’m not sure yet what it is… I feel deeply in my bones that I am meant to do something bigger, to help people but what “IT” is – is the missing puzzle piece right now.

So many deep thoughts for a Friday…
