I had trouble sleeping last night. I read about a young guy in the NOVA area who lost his battle with colon cancer: Former Hayfield High School Principal Dave Tremaine Passes Away. Dave Tremaine was a son, husband, father, friend, mentor, educator. Cancer doesn’t discriminate. I found the blog his wife has been keeping, Embracing the Rollercoaster, and it brought back a lot of feelings and memories of my family’s experience. I am so thankful each and every day that we were able to catch Scott’s cancer early enough – it’s another reminder of how cancer changes everyone involved. My heart breaks for his family and the new normal they must learn to live… The time we have is too precious to hold grudges, to be mean, or to waste!
Hydrate!
It’s starting to get VERY hot and humid in Northern VA — so I want to make sure to remind everyone to Hydrate!
