Today’s theme at yoga was Letting Go — and the need to continually rethink, reimagine, re-explore long held beliefs and ultimately let go of those that prevent us from moving on. Why do we think we are not athletic? Why do we think we aren’t beautiful or worthy of love? Is there a moment in our pasts that helped define those thoughts and beliefs that we are still clinging to? It’s an interesting concept because so many of us get stuck in situations because we believe it’s the only way. Why do you put up with things in your life that make you miserable? Why can’t you go after the career you always dreamed of? What do you believe that is holding you back from doing?
What if we all took a breathe and really examined why we think the way we do — and should we continue to think it?
It’s also timely around the Hobby Lobby ruling. Times change, people change and it’s definitely time to re-examine and re-think who represents us.
