Mean Programming ..


Good morning. This morning I actually felt like a Zombie. So tired even though I did not have any candy or food that would be considered Off Limits. I pan grilled some chicken thighs with veggies instead of our usual Halloween Night fare — Pizza. Times sure have changed. It’s been so chilly here it’s crazy. My Mom lives in Northern NJ, and she has no power. It has been 2 days — I can only imagine how cold she must be. She lives in a very old house and tends to be always cold anyway. I wish she would consider hanging out here for awhile but my mom is Stubborn!

Today’s workout I am naming — Living Hell.

KB Swings/Stance

WOD
5 rounds for time of:
40 Double Unders
30 Box Jump – 24 in.s
20 Kettlebell Swings 1.5 pood

The above is the standard or prescribed for men. I modified it because I stink at Double Unders –so I did 40×3 — 120 single jump ropes, a 20in box and a 1 pood KB.

I really really wanted to get under 20 minutes but I was about to hurl after round 4 — Box Jumps just kill me. I can’t breathe and one wrong step on a box jump, you could hurt your poor shins. I try to be very deliberate when doing them, especially 5 rounds of 30 reps. That is just mean programming!
