No excuse really…

I have begun on occasion to do some grocery shopping at Walmart. I hate to even admit it but it is cheaper and they do have some organic selection of produce so when I have time, I go there. The lines are too long and there is no one to help you if you have a question – but if you are prepared for that – then you can save some money.

I was standing in the too long of a line, and this guy was in front of me. You can see on the left side of the pic above his belly jutting out holding his daughter. What struck me and why I took this picture was what was in his cart. All that soda you see pictured and a bunch of other processed foods. There were no vegetables, no fruit, nothing clean really. It made me shake my head in judgment.  Here is this guy, clearly obese setting an example for the future generation of his family.  I am in no means perfect with my eating so I do feel bad being so judgmental – perhaps it’s sadness at the journey this family is currently taking – the long term repercussions of it all…And how the little toddler is going to be brought up with regards to her education about food. I know that I don’t have any back story on this person but there really is no excuse for eating shit like that regularly.

Next time you are in a grocery store, look at what’s in your cart and analyze how much of what you are buying is processed vs fresh? I wonder if you will be surprised!
