I so did not want to go…

I really, and I mean really did not want to get up and go to camp today. The alarm went off at 5a and I wrestled with the sleep monster — one day won’t hurt me, i am so tired, i can find time after work to go run — but then I told myself just get up, get it done. If you don’t you know you will feel guilty. So I did just that — and I am glad I went and I do feel better!

It was so hot today during camp. We were all drenched in sweat! Remember, today was the 5 minute stations. The fact that over half of the camp skipped out of today’s workout illustrates how many people do not like the 5 min station sessions —

Plumbline Training workout:

Warmup
checkpoints
lunge jumps
frankensteins
push-ups

Core work 2 rounds 1 min each
partner dynamax ball tear drops 14lb
ball twists
holding your body 6 in off the ground
25 partner side high-five push-ups

Workout
5 min stations/AMRAP
BOSU burpees/BOSU squats 25lb kettlebells –– this requires balance and core work — things that I need to work on!
Assisted Rope Climb/26in box jumps
Seated sandbag twists/Halos — sandbag is 45lbs
Swing twist squats 25lbs*
Power clean push press 65lbs

  1. I find the most rewarding workouts are those which I was in no mood to do in the first place. Funny how that works. . .
